Whenever a large site is migrating from one platform to another content management system, this can be a very nervous time for those parties involved in the process. Our approach and our suite of tools provide a robust framework so that our clients can confidently make that jump.
The task of revamping the Dubbo City Council was quite intense. Working with their city image team, we redeveloped the site map and communication focus - with almost 300 hundred pages of content, it was quite a labour intensive process.
It was important with the new site that the look and feel reflected the nature, size and scope of the council's activity. It was also critical that the methods of communicating with all stakeholders enabled information to be disseminated in an effecient manner. The site makes extensive use of RSS feeds and blogging tools, News and Announcements, multiple feedback forms and extensive literature libraries.
Multiple users maintain their sections of the site, and appropriate workflows have been put in place to action requests from the public, ratepayers and visitors to the Dubbo City Council area.
